AOC has introduced two new 27” monitors this week – the Q2781PQ and the Q2781PS. Both monitors are identical in terms of key specs and features, with the main difference being the color and “bling”. The more expensive Q2781PS monitor comes with a Rose Gold colored base and Swarovski crystals at the back. AOC Q2781PQ on the other hand features a silver colored stand with a “no bling” back. The 4-sided frameless design on both models helps enhance your visual experience as the display area is maximized. The frameless design makes the two monitors ideal for a multi-monitor setup as well.
Both monitors come with a 27” AH-IPS panel with 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution and a 60 Hz native refresh rate. AOC claims the panel boasts of a high 350 nit maximum brightness, 1000:1 static contrast ratio, 178/178 degree viewing angles, and a 5ms (gray-to-gray) response time. Since the monitors aren’t specifically targeted at professionals, you only get 100% sRGB coverage. To prevent eye fatigue and damage, AOC has integrated Clear Vision and Flicker Free technologies on both the monitors. On the connectivity front, both monitors offer a DisplayPort, 2 HDMI ports, and a D-Sub port. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Q2781PQ can now be purchased from Amazon in the US for $349.99. The Q2781PS with Swarovski bling is expected to go on sale later this year with an MSRP of $599.
