I’ve been playing all COD titles ever since the Wii, like World at War, Black Ops, Modern Warfare, and when I found out Black Ops 2 was available for the Wii U, in HD, I jumped right on it and even bought the Wii U because of it. The reason why I prefer the Wii U to play these FPS games is because I’m able to use the Wiimote. I’m really bad at using the analog controllers, whether it be via Gamepad, CCPro, or even DS3 for PS3, but I’m very proficient at using the Wiimote and guess what…. it’s loads of fun. At first I was pretty bad at using the Wiimote, it was frustrating, but I stuck with it and I’m glad I did.

So here’s our setup: I use the TV with the Wiimote and my son uses the Gamepad. We both have great experiences this way. We are spoiled now, we can never back to playing split screen, we tried.

Yeah yeah, there’s no DLC, no bonus map, the community is much smaller, I knew that going in and I’d pay full price if I had to do it again because I know it will gives me numerous of hours of fun, just like the previous titles did. Also, the graphics are great, comparable to the other consoles. Even though my friends make fun of me because I have the Wii U version and they have Xbox or PS3 versions, they always comment on how great the graphics look.

As far as multiplayer goes, the maps are big, but I’m sure as we get more familiar with them it will appear smaller. It can get frustrating at times also because I’m shooting a guy and I am getting hits and waiting to get the kill, then he starts firing back at me and I die instantly. That’s when I shout at the TV. But whatever, it is what it is, and all COD titles appear to have some variety of this.

I highly recommend this game and so far we are having fun with it. I foresee it bringing us hours of fun until the next title is released.

Ok first off, The graphics and frame rates are just as good, maybe even better then the 360 and PS3 version. The campaign is short but maybe the best C.O.D campaign I have played. ( I haven’t played Call of Duty: Black Ops II – Nintendo Wii U yet at this time. But I’m going to) The controls are really awesome, and all the controller options you can use besides the gamepad are cool, Like being able to use the Nintendo Wii Remote Plus – Black/Wii Nunchuk Controller – Black Classic controller for Nintendo Wii Wii Classic Controller Pro – Black, and the Nintendo Wii U Pro Controller – Black . Multiplayer. I haven’t been able to play online as of this time, But the split screen is so cool, One player can play it just on the gamepad and the other can have the whole tv to his/her self (sadly the Wii U split screen only goes 2 players) but you can throw in bots and have a fun time learning the maps and killing them. I haven’t gotten to play the other modes. I did very little of the extinction. and it was fun for what little time I did. speaking of using the gamepad you can play the whole game on just the gamepad. or if you can play it on the TV but can’t have the volume up or have to have it off, you can go to the options and change the sound output to Wii gamepad. So over all, GET THIS GAME. it is awesome.

A different experience than all other consoles, November 6, 2013

So, yes the Wii U didn’t get the bonus map at launch, and it doesnt have DLC at launch. They’ve already stated they will evaluate DLC for the Wii U when they see how it sells.

But guess what… on no other console can you play 2 player locally with one person on the gamepad screen and one on the full TV.

On no other console can you control your player with the wiimote, which kinda plays like you’re holding an actual weapon (whether this is enjoyable or not is another issue).

On no other console can you plug your headphones from your phone/mp3 player/ipod/android into the gamepad and have voice chat without an expensive bluetooth headset.

On no other console can you play CoD: Ghosts off-screen on the gamepad while someone else watches TV On the big screen.

The graphics are on par if not a bit better than the PS3 version, which is admittedly better looking than the XB360 version. Is it on par with the PS4 and XBone? No. But those consoles aren’t even out yet.

These other reviewers are being bitter, but guess what… the Wii U version is just as good, if not better than, the PS3 and Xbox360 version aside from the lack of DLC, which may come later, and which isn’t even release yet in general (except the Free Fall bonus map).
