Maybe one of the best low cost speakers – period…,
OK, I’m not going to tell you anything that has been said by the other reviewers. They are all basically true. I was on the fence when purchaing this speakers, but the hype here pushed me over. This was a great purchase.
Not the most bass, but this is expected. It seems to mix the left & right channels into a single mid-range speaker. This speaker and amplifier combination tries to keep the sound balanced and from distorting. It may only distort if pushing at the very highest volume with loud music sources. OK, remember that this is not a $100 – 300 speaker. It is basically a $20 speaker, but you may not find anything under $100 with this performance.
I like it that it uses 3 AAA batteries and does not have a built in rechargable battery pack. Many rechargable battery packs goes bad within a year or two of use. You could ruin your device by trying to crack open the case to change the battery pack, or you may not be able to find the replacement battery pack, and you now have a disposable device. This is not the scenario for this speaker. Also, you can change the batteries in the field and keep the party going. Treat it well and it may last you for many years.
The wish list items for this speaker is that it should have a heavier and longer audio cord. If you pull it hard or bend it a lot, it may break the wire conductor. My cure for this is to use a audio extension cable and to slack the connected audio cord.
Also, would be a nice upgrade to have a selectable on/off automatic shut off feature. Maybe to shut off the speaker after about 15 minutes of no audio. May add a little to the price, but may save batteries. If you forget to turn it off many of times, use rechargable batteries.
Now, waiting for Amazon to offer free shipping and I will be ordering a few (with audio extension cables) for Christmas presents. This speaker is so small with a sound larger than you would ever expect.

Great Speaker,
Oddly enough, I never actually intended to buy this speaker. I originally wanted the GOgroove Sonawave ³ Portable Stereo Speaker (which by the way is fantastic), but I was curious about this and there was an offer for 15% off if I bought both, so I did. And, I was pleasantly surprised. This is a great little speaker, with some pretty good sound quality. It’s definitely worth a try if you are looking for something small and portable. Plus the rotating speaker portion is just awesome.
