Love this!,
I’ve had this case for less than a day, but I’m already loving it. If anything does happen to go wrong, I’ll update this post.
The texture really does seem to resist lint and other pieces of dust/dirt. I like how the buttons feel, and the buttons are easy to press through the silicone. The silicone on the sides does cover about a centimeter of the iPod, and I personally prefer it that way.
There is, however, a relatively strong chemical smell. I haven’t tried washing the case yet, so I can’t say anything about how to safely get rid of the smell. The horns at the top also make it annoying to put it in your pocket on the go, but it’s a sacrifice I was willing to make. The back doesn’t cover all of your ipod, so I suggest buying a skin as well (I haven’t bought one yet myself, but I’m considering cutting out a section of an iPod screen protector.)
As someone mentioned before, one of the shippers for this cheap case WILL take a long time. This is because a) it’s shipped from China and b) it’s using a free shipping method. Don’t be surprised that it is estimated to take more than a few weeks to be delivered.
EDIT (7/9/12): I’m not as big a fan of this anymore. The smell, at least, is gone. I currently do use an ipod screen protector for the back part where the face is, but if I ever feel like splurging I’ll get a skin to replace it. The problem mostly lies with how it’s hard to fit in your pocket. When putting this into my pocket, the bottom slides up and seems to stretch the material since the entire bottom is uncovered. There’s also the fact that although it looks like it’s screen-protector-safe, it’s not. My screen protectors will start bubbling on one side but not the other when I have the case on, most likely due to the fact that one side seems to be on looser. These are minor details, but they make a big difference to me, which is why I’m considering trying out a new case.
