OnePlus and ZUK probably are not as popular aboard as other Chinese manufacturers, but it doesn’t mean they have no news for us. We have heard many surprising news referring to each of those smartphone makers starting from OnePlus and Oppo merge and finishing with ZUK Z2 RIO, the cheapest Snapdragon 820 smartphone. Now it’s the right time for another surprising news – the Zuk Z2 has been spotted with OnePlus’ Hydrogen OS.
A month ago we came up with an interesting comparison article trying to find which handset is better – the Huawei P9 Plus vs ZUK Z2 vs OnePlus 3 vs Xiaomi Mi5. And even being an unofficial Xiaomi blog, we couldn’t give preference to one of those handsets, especially I mean the Xiamoi’s product. This simply means all those smartphones are worthy to be classified as unique devices thanks to their hardware and software.
As for OnePlus, we know it has its own OS line, and the latest of them is called Hydrogen. The latter has come to replace the previous version dubbed as Oxygen. There are real differences between these two operating systems, but it doesn’t prevent the company to merge them to improve updates. This was a great news for all OnePlus users, as Hydrogen OS was released only for Chinese users. And thanks to this operation the new version of OnePlus’ OS became available globally.
Seems some people take the word ‘globally’ too seriously, and though we don’t know whether this is a custom ROM or an official test, the OnePlus’ Hydrogen OS looks amazing on the Zuk Z2. The latest version of Hydrogen OS, v2.5 has been said to hit the OnePlus 3 first and should be available in the near future. So if these leaked photos show this version of Hydrogen, we can assume the update is already available over the air.
P.S. Honestly we can make many assumptions relying on this leak, but it’s better to wait for official announcements not to be lost in something that doesn’t exist.
