The Eve V is finally going on sale. Eve, the company behind the Eve V today announced its Indiegogo campaign on its official website and revealed the prices. Eve’s V is a device which the company likes to call “the first-ever crowd developed computer” as all of the main parts of the device were based on feedback from the Eve community.
Eve’s V device is a lot like Microsoft’s Surface Pro line of devices and that’s not anything surprising to see. However, Eve V’s specs are better than what you get with the Surface Pro 4 which is quite interesting. First up, the Eve V comes with Intel’s 7th gen Core i7/i5/m3 processors. As for the RAM, you can get up to 16GB of LDDRP3 RAM with the Eve V and up to 512GB of internal storage (128GB and 256GB variants are also available). For the display, Eve is including a 12.3-inch IGZO LCD panel with a resolution of 2736×1284 pixels that’s protected by Gorilla Glass. As for the security, you can’t get Windows Hello’s face recognition feature on the Eve V but there’s a fingerprint scanner that’s integrated into the power button of the device.

In case you are wondering about the ports on the device, there’s 1 Thunderbolt 3 port, 1 USB Type-C port, two regular USB ports, a 3.55mm port for audio and there’s also a microSD card reader. More importantly, the device boasts a 48Wh battery which, according to Eve, provides 12 hours of battery life. All of this comes in a device that weighs less than a kilogram and has a thickness of 8.9mm.
Eve is also selling a keyboard (the V Wireless Keyboard) for the Eve V similar to the Surface Touch Keyboard, and a stylus (the V Pen) as well. The device starts at $699 for the Core m3 model with 8GB RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. For $959, you’ll get the Core i5 variant with 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. The company is also selling the Core i7 variant with 16GB of RAM, 512GB of internal storage for $1399. All of these variants come with the V Pen and the Alcantara Keyboard. The device comes with Windows 10 Home out of the box, but you can pay $50 now to get Windows 10 Pro.
You can pre-order the Eve V at Indiegogo -, and it should start shipping in February 2017.
