Sony Unveils New Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera, Priced A…

Sony is present on various different markets and one of which is camera, where it is very successful. Now, the company has announced a new flagship, full-frame mirrorless camera, that it hopes will be a worthy competitor against Canon and Nikon, the two main players.

Sony A9 comes with a full-frame stacked CMOS sensor (24.2 megapixels) with ability of continuous shooting and 693 autofocus points, covering approximately 93 percent of the frame. Sony’s new 35mm full-frame stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor twice as fast as the company’s prior full-frame cameras, and according to Sony is “the world’s first of its kind.”

The camera shoots 4K video, has a vibration free, fully electronic, anti-distortion shutter with no mechanical mirror, 5-axis in-body stabilization, dual SD card slots, Bluetooth, NFC and an ethernet port. It will go on sale on May 25 for $4,500 in the United States.
