Samsung officially announced the Galaxy S8 Active, the more rugged version of the standard Galaxy S8. The smartphone is going to be exclusively available from AT&T later this week and pre-orders will start tomorrow, while the handset will start shipping on August 11.
Although AT&T has exclusive rights on the phone, that won’t last long. Samsung has confirmed that the carrier will have exclusivity over the Galaxy S8 Active only “for a limited time,” meaning the phone will be available from other carriers and retailers at some point.
