Plextor launches their latest line of USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C portable SSDs, the EX1. Coming in three different storage capacities: 128GB, 256GB and 512GB, these ultra-compact portable SSDs (shock & vibration proof) are built with Hynix 16nm TLC NAND Flash memory chips.
They get a USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C connection interface (w/ a Type-C to Type-A USB adapter included), TRIM support, SMART support, NCQ support and an MTBF of 1.5 million hours.

- Sequential Write Speed Up to 550
- Fnet encryption software included free
In terms of performance, the EX1 portable SSDs promise to deliver sequential read and write speeds of up to 550MB/s and 500MB/s, respectively. Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing yet.
