Sony’s virtual reality headset is finally out in the wild and can be purchased for $399. The popular teardown team iFixit has managed to get their hands on one unit and opened it to see how easy it is to repair. According to their findings, the PS VR isn’t hard to repair.
The PlayStation VR scored a lofty 8 out of 10 in the ease of repairability scale, which is on par with other VR headset. For comparison, HTC’s Vive VR headset also scored 8, while the Oculus Rift CV1 scored a 7 out of 10 on the scale.
The most interesting thing of the teardown is the 120 Hz True HD AMOLED display. There is also a few other interesting stuff so it would be the best to check the teardown.
