Filtering out certain content in the comments section of your Instagram posts is now possible for all users. Some high-profile accounts received the ability to hide certain comments earlier this year and now everyone has a “hide inappropriate comments” option. Along with hiding the usual “inappropriate” words, you can add your own custom keywords that will trigger a post to be hidden.
Instagram is also implementing a general change for the way comments are displayed. They’ll now show up based on an algorithm that looks for relevancy rather than recency.
