AMD’s third era EPYC line of enterprise processors that leverage the “Zen 3” microarchitecture, may innovate in two instructions – in the direction of rising efficiency by removing the CCX (compute complicated) multi-core topology; and benefiting from a more recent/refined 7 nm-class node to extend clock-speeds. Igor’s Lab decoded as many as three OPNs of the upcoming third gen EPYC sequence, together with a 64-core/128-thread half that ships with frequency of three.00 GHz. The high 2nd gen EPYC 64-core half, the 7662, ships with 2.00 GHz base frequency and three.30 GHz enhance; and 225 W TDP. AMD is predicted to unveil its “Zen 3” microarchitecture inside 2020.
