I read all the good reviews here and thought I made a right choice to buy this product. So when mine broke in 2 months I thought it was my fault that I didn’t take good care of it. Then I bought the same earphone again, they were broke again in 2months. Each time I bought 2 different colors. I bought twice. All of my 4 earphones broke in a couple of months. Now I realize the durability of this product is a BIG problem. It makes me think that all the good reviews might be written by someone paid by the manufactory. It seems now the reviews on Amazon is not trust worthy anymore.

update: The sales rep is very responsible for the reviews here. I’m glad they actually listen to customers. I didn’t realize there is 1 year warranty exists. If I’d known it earlier, I would request to exchange my first 2 earphones. Now it is too late to ask for replacement. I only requested to replace my 3rd and 4th pair. I haven’t received my replacement yet although I filed the online form for several weeks.

update: Now it is December. It’s been 3 months since I submitted my proof of purchase in September for warranty purpose. I never received the warranty replacement. What a joke!

I have a habit of picking up headphones of all types, sizes and prices. Maybe it’s an addiction, I don’t know, but as I was shopping for others leading up to Christmas I decided to give the JLAB J2’s a run for myself. I was instantly disappointed. No matter what tips I tried, the fit was at best uncomfortable. The design on the earpiece practically hurt to leave in. I was able to get a good seal, albeit after a few winces and running through all the sizes. The sound was…well, meh, just okay. So, hooked them up and burned them out for 24 hours. It didn’t help much. The bass was flat although if I turned it up most of the way it was noticeable, and clear, but not strong. Overall the sound is flat. For the price, they can do the job if you don’t care much about the quality of the sound and just need something that “works” but with the issues of how uncomforable they are, I couldn’t give these more than the 2 stars I did.

Conversely, Panasonic RPHJE120S In-Ear Headphone set I picked up from Amazon.com for around $6.25 at the time are better in all ways that the JLAB J2’s. I had such high hopes that these would offer just a little more, but alas, I was wrong.

I have purchased three pairs of J-2 ear phones in the last year. The first two were great!! I was impressed with the sound quality and overall look of these ear phones. The build quality was pretty nice also. For the price the sound you can get out of these are phenomenal!! Then came the third pair I purchased. These arrived in Amazon’s “green packaging”. Which I think is great. I’m all for reducing waste. But I think sometimes all the so called extra and unnecessary packaging is there for a reason! So the product can be protected and mailed safely. The third set n the “green” packaging was the ear phones stuffed in a bag. The wires were creased so bad that they don’t even hang straight. And there seems to be hard spots in the wire that makes them feel pretty brittle.I know this may seem a little picky but the other two sets were packaged nicely and protected from damage. Not stuffed in a bag. The other two earphones I would give five+….but this last pair I could only give two stars. I think this was a freak incident and should not keep you from buying J Lab products. After one listen you I’ll be hooked!!!!
