    Sweet, April 6, 2015
This review is from: Lonve Blue 16GB MP4/MP3 Player Music 1.81” Screen MP4 Music/Audio/Media Player with FM Radio (Electronics)
    I recommend and endorse http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SASFGF8?tag=c47-20
I also recommend you take a look at these best selling http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003EM8008?tag=c47-20

    Pros:
    Good price
    Very easy to use software
    Good sound
    Backlit screen
    Easy to download songs

    Cons:
    Shuffle doesn’t seem to work
Songbird by Philips doesn’t work at all
    Case for it is flimsy

It’s kind of red or kind of pink depending on the light. I wanted something bright in the car that would be easy to find, but not something feminine. It’s not a big deal, but some people might care. Black would have been a safe color, but not easily seen in a dark car color scheme.

The on/off button works, but it feels flimsy. We’ll have to see how it holds up. The USB cable has no charger so unless there is a USB charger around it has to be plugged into a computer, but the directions say “sometimes the connection is not stable with Windows 8 or above.” I have Windows 7 computers and a Mac. With the Mac it sometimes disconnects. It hasn’t been a problem, but I get messages on the Mac saying “Disk did not eject properly.” It doesn’t seem to have caused a problem. It stays connected long enough to transfer files into the device, MP3 or WMA only where music files are concerned.

It says it plays AMV/MTV video and it can view JPEGs and GIFs, and text files, but the screen is tiny and I wouldn’t use it for those things.

I don’t think it stops charging. I’m not sure how to tell when the battery is full. The screen says “Connect” when it is hooked to computer. Pushing the menu button twice let’s me see the battery is still charging, but no clue as to how far along. I’ve had it connected overnight and it’s still going. If the player is turned off when connected to a computer, a complaint pops up to make sure the device is turned on. It’s a sign of how flimsy the on/off is that the device can still access the folders in the off position with the caveat that it will keep saying to turn the device on.

The cheap headphones that come with it have alright sound. They are not great, but not bad either. I didn’t purchase for the headphones, but to connect through the aux port on the car radio. I did put another pair of good quality headphones on it to test and the music sounded detailed in the mid-range. I could hear the bass, but not extreme. The treble seemed recessed. This is based on only listening to 2 or 3 songs through headphones. Your device or experience may not be the same and will also depend on what headphones are used.

I put my songs in individual folders with Band name and then all the songs of that band in the folder. There’s no search function. It’s listen or skip. It does go through folders to find the songs, but once you put music in folders that way the device has limitations. I have to turn the device off and back on if I want to get into Video. When the music plays, it details what song is on the playlist and the band name.

It has a small mic for recording, and an FM player. The FM player did not pick up much of a signal when I tried it.

For the price I paid, I think it was worth it. It says it has 16 GB of space, everything appears to work, but don’t expect too much of it. I hope it lasts long enough to feel like I got my money’s worth.

Great little player, slightly vague instructions…, April 2, 2015
This review is from: Lonve Blue 16GB MP4/MP3 Player Music 1.81” Screen MP4 Music/Audio/Media Player with FM Radio (Electronics)
I’m really quite content with this purchase. I bought it solely for its music playing capabilities so I won’t be able to comment on video/pic/game functionality, BUT it is obvious from browsing through the device, and its instructions, that it is intended to be primarily (or solely) a music listening device.
The instructions are rather vague as far as how to set up folders in the player itself, and download music to it – i.e. instructions state, “create different folders for different music style in Lonve’s MP4 player, such as soft music, rock music, classic music and etc.” They do not, however, tell you HOW to do this, and I have yet to figure that part out. BUT the transfer from PC to player is as simple as hooking it up to your PC, highlighting what music you want, dragging it into the folder for the device and selecting “sync” on your PC (that is how my program works on my PC at least).
The music transfers quickly and effortlessly and will at least create a folder in the player when it is transferred. For instance, I tested the transfer with a 3OH!3 cd I had ripped to my computer. It took less than a minute (maybe less than 30 seconds) to transfer all the songs, and when I browsed through my player it had created a folder for me using the title of the artist with a sub folder after that using the album title.
I think the sound quality of this device is great, have had no issues with cutting/fading out, skipping songs, dropping songs in mid-play, etc. I am not, however, using the provided earbuds because 1) earbuds provided with cheap MP3/MP4 players are usually junk and 2) the size and shape of the earbuds provided are far too big for my ears.
I purchased the Panasonic earbuds available here on Amazon. They are inexpensive and highly rated by other customers, and now I highly recommend them as well! They provide crystal clear sound and a snug, comfy fit, and though they do not say it, I feel that they are as close to “noise cancelling” as one can get for such an inexpensive pair! http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B003EM6AQE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

To sum up, this player is worthy of a 5 star review, but due to the vague instructions provided which leave the operator up to tinkering with the device to figure it out I feel a 4 star rating is in order… and get the Panasonic earbuds to go along with it! 🙂
