Popular Chinese smartphone maker ZTE today released a teaser on its Weibo account, which suggests the company will be announcing a new Nubia flagship smartphone at a media event on March 21st in Shekou, China.
The teaser clearly hints at a dual-camera setup, which is slowly becoming a fad. Nothing else about the device has been revealed yet, although a Weibo user does claim to know some details. According to him, the Nubia flagship will feature a borderless display, although he hasn’t made it very clear if that means the device will be similar to the Xiaomi Mi MIX with little bezels on all sides, or if it will have a “borderless” design similar to previous Nubia flagships.
Under the hood, the upcoming ZTE flagship will apparently run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 octa-core chipset, the same chip that will be powering some versions of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones. So far, the only Snapdragon 835-powered smartphone that has been officially announced is the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona last month.
With just over a week left for the announcement, we might see some leaks pop up online over the next few days, possibly shedding more light on the specifications of the upcoming ZTE Nubia flagship smartphone.
