ZOTAC Shows GeForce GTX 1080 Ti PGF Edition

236

Prior to release Zotac is offering a little tease to please, meet the ZOTAC shows GeForce GTX 1080 Ti PGF Edition. The 11GB beast of a card comes with a massive triple fan cooling solution and yes you guessed it, RGB LED lighting.

If you look closely, the photos are in fact renders, meaning that the board partners likely do not even have the products in-house themselves just yet. It will be interesting to see what in the end the overclock performance and the standardized tweaks for these cards are going to be. Earlier this week Nvidia announced the Geforce GTX 1080 Ti, the new high-end GTX 1080 Ti features 3584 CUDA Cores, 224 Texture Units, a 352-bit memory controller and 11 GB of GDDR5X memory. The card should be faster than a reference Titan X and 30% faster compared to a GTX 1080.

The card has the same “GP102” GPU as the TITAN X Pascal, the GTX 1080 Ti but was slighty cut-down. Interesting is the 352-bit with GDDR5X memory interface, this was not expected. This translates to 11 memory chips on the card which run at 11 GHz (GDDR5X-effective), the memory bandwidth is 484 GB/s. Thiis means the ROP count is would be 88 (from 96 on the TITAN X Pascal), and the TMU count 224.The Ti will boost up to 1600 MHz, but the overclocking potential is much like all GeForce Pascal cards in the 2 GHz range. The GTX 1080 Ti has 8-pin and 6-pin power connectors and TDP around 220 W.

It will be interesting to see what clock frequencies the board partners cards will get. You can expect the first board partner cards late this month with the reference ‘FE” editions available from Nvidia themselves, next week priced at 699 USD.
