Recently, many popular smartwatch and fitness tracker manufacturers have released at least one model. Among them, we can mention the Samsung Galaxy Watch, Apple Watch Series 4, LG Watch W7 and Garmin Instinct. The Chinese manufacturers are also not asleep. And they are releasing a new product as well. One of the latest models was the LEMFO LEM X, Microwear H7, and Zeblaze THOR 4 Plus. Here we will dwell on the latter in more detail. But before that, you have to know it is currently offered at $159.99. It’s a regular pricing for Chinese top-end standalone smartwatches. So let’s see whether this model corresponds to this title.
As the name implies, the Zeblaze THOR 4 Plus is an updated version of the original THOR 4 watch, presented a few months earlier. But the differences between these two are not too much. Like the previous model, our protagonist combines classic and sporty design styles. It has a round aluminum alloy case with a diameter of 48.5mm, and a silicone strap with a robust metal clasp. Above the screen is the fourth-generation CORNING Gorilla Glass protective glass. Comparing the design with the previous version, the frame design around the screen has slightly changed, as well as the size and shape of the buttons on the right side of the case. Between the buttons is a camera lens with a resolution of 5MP.
The AMOLED screen has been increased from 1.39 inches to 1.4 inches. But the resolution remains the same of 400 x 400 pixels. The screen ratio remains unchanged at 85% as well. The watch face can be chosen from more than 150 options available for download.
Another change refers to the processor. Instead of the MTK6737 with a frequency of 1.1GHz, the new model uses the MTK6739 chip with a maximum frequency of 1.25GHz. On the other hand, the memory is the same of 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. On the software side, the Zeblaze THOR 4 Plus runs on Android 7.1, which allows you to customize the clock to your personal preferences, download additional applications from Google Play, etc.
Of course, the Zeblaze THOR 4 Plus comes with an independent GPS module. It allows you to track your movement and provide comprehensive data for various cases. The rest of the features includes a pedometer, calories measurement, sleep monitoring, heart rate monitoring, browser, remote camera, and others. Probably, you guess this is a standalone smartwatch. Thus, it supports independent calls. There is a slot for a Nano SIM-card with 4G support.
The Zeblaze THOR 4 Plus is powered by a 580mAh battery. The latter is charged using a magnetic charging cable. It takes about 3 hours to reach 100%. The battery life also remained the same: up to 2 days in standby mode, and one day of normal use.
