Z06 Smartwatch Review: When Nothing is Omitted Under $100…

We have seen some fantastic smartwatches so far, but all of them were incomplete and missed some traits which define a smartwatch. If any of them by chance had almost every feature, still their prices were touching the sky. Even last year’s trending No.1 D5 smartwatch lacked a camera. So, the question remains, is there a smartwatch with no omitted feature? Maybe, a smartwatch that can be only fantasized. It’s interesting to know that the daydreaming smartwatch exists. Our today’s protagonist perceived as ‘Z06 Smartwatch’ is only of its kind to feature every functionality that is only dreamed to be in a watch.

Z06 Smartwatch Review – Power, Clarity & Independence

Design & Appearance

To be honest with our readers, we have never seen such a neat and straightforward design in any of the smartwatches. No over designing, no showing off at all. The Chinese manufacturer believes in tidiness.

Z06 Smartwatch molds from 316L Stainless Steel and the round chassis is tightly sealed, so just forget that it will not rust for decades. This seems to be an appetizer for Z06 as the menu is yet to be delivered with the IP65 certification (waterproof).

The band is forged from synthetic rubber; silicon may be which seems to be anti-allergic and have an enormous elastic limit. Moreover, the band buckle is also stainless. Sadly, we don’t have the option to customize, but that’s fine, the watch appears to be appealing like the way it is.

There a round bezel around the screen which further exaggerates Z06’s charm. Plus, the edges are well processed and curved, hardly we see an error.

On the right side, the buttons and the camera are perfectly laid with enough spacing.

In short, to be ingenuous is the nature of the watch. The well-polished smartwatch gleams with perfection.

Display & Hardware

Z06 Smartwatch has a 1.6-inch IPS capacitive display. Although the manufacturer hasn’t mentioned the resolution still from our experience, it’s 200 x 200 pixels. Maybe the resolution seems to be low for you guys but comes on we can’t expect a 2K resolution for such a small display panel. Meanwhile, the color emitted from the bright and contrasted. At least we will be able to predict what ‘s on the screen of Z06 smartwatch under sunlight.

Under the hood, MediaTek’s MTK6580 beats (@1.3GHz, Quad Core) as the heart of the terminal. Accompanied by 1GB RAM and 4GB ROM the hardware obliged to be generous. Was expecting a Snapdragon 820, seriously? Don’t mind the joke! Sadly, we won’t see an SD card slot. But we think that 4GB storage is enough for you. The hardware is configured to the maximum limit, at least for now.

Camera & Connectivity 

We enlightened you about Z06 Smartwatch’s camera previous; it’s time to elaborate it further. There’s no denying that almost every watch on the market features a separate camera, all of them are below 1MP under that price tag. Thus, the user upsets with the image output they yield. But, that’s not the case with Z06 Smartwatch as it’s only one among its kind to integrate a 2MP camera, perhaps the best resolution to view on a small screen like that. Well, we can’t guarantee our readers that the same result will be achieved on a 70-inch plasma TV.

Now comes one of the selling point of the watch. Z06 Smartwatch proudly shows off the independent status it has to the world as it can support 3G network.

As shown in the picture above, we have to unscrew and open the rear lid to insert it. Don’t worry! All that hard work will not go in vain. The inbuilt browsers work exceptionally fast, and the reception is strong despite the diminutive size of the watch.

Other popular connectivity feature includes Bluetooth v4.0, GSM.

OS & Battery

Z06 Smartwatch runs on Android 5.1 platform. This means that you have millions of apps to download from the Store. Most of them will support the watch but not those apps and games which need a higher resolution to play. Still, there’s a limit to the apps on the store because of the less internal memory and 4GB storage. So be wise while installing any app.

A durable watch with a strong configuration needs a massive battery. We don’t mean a 4000 mAh or a 10,000 mAh battery, but the one that can perfectly suit in a smartwatch. With a power efficient processor and a powerful hardware (in terms of smartwatch), 500mAh non-removable battery seems to be enough for Z06 Smartwatch to last for at least 3 to 6 days, depending upon the use. If it runs out of amperes, the magnetic charging option is still their to top up the battery.
