Xiaomi is getting ready to launch its first chipset with the Mi 5c smartphone. According to some reports, the chipset is expected to be as powerful as Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 chipset. New information has detailed the chipset, which is expected to have two versions.
The Mi 5c should launch with the lower-end V670 model, while the V970 is expected to power high-end phones. The former will be manufactured using 28nm process and pack Cortex-A53 cores in an octa-core architecture while the V970 will be manufactured using 10nm and have similar octa-core architecture, with four Cortex-A73 and four Cortex-A53 cores and higher clocks.
Another difference is in the GPU. The V670 will be equipped with Mali-T860 MP4 graphics processing unit with a clock speed of 800 MHz, and theV970 will have Mali 71 MP12 graphics processing unit clocked at 900 MHz.
