All Mi fans are waiting for the next upgrade from Xiaomi, the Mi 6. It’s said this flagship will be released on April 16 at a special conference. Moreover, we have heard rumors as there will be another variant of this phone initially dubbed as the Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus. However, today it’s become known Xiaomi will held another even at the end of March, where the manufacturer will unleash the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2. Leaks referring to this model have become circulating in the net more often. Thus its launch date is actually closer than we imagine. But what’s interesting the selling points of this device is going to be a dual-camera instead of Snapdragon 660 chip. Moreover, the latter may not appear on this device at all.

The Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is going to be the updated and improved version of the original Redmi Pro. If you remember, the latter comes with a list of decent features including a dual-camera. You may think what’s the trick? – the market is full of dual-camera smartphones. But the things is that Xiaomi Redmi Pro is the cheapest option in this niche.

Well, the enhanced Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 has been said to sport a Snapdragon 660 chip as well as a 16MP dual camera. But the latest rumors state this phone will be packed with a MediaTek P25 processor, which supports 12MP dual ISP. This sounds quite possible, because it would be senseless to refuse the selling point of a smartphone in benefit of a stronger processor.

Apart of this, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is said to be packed with a metal housing, 2.5D arc glass, 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM and 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM at a price tag of 1599 yuan ($231) and 1799 yuan ($260), respectively.
