Don’t know why but the rumors concerning the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 and Mi Max 2 have been appearing on the net in conjunction. Now when the Mi Max 2 is already available for purchase, the Redmi Pro 2 has been left alone. But according to the latest leaks, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is going to launch next month. This date allows us to think the phone is already ready for mass production, therefore, many rumors heard about it should be true.
First, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is said to come with a bezel-less screen similar to the Xiaomi Mi MIX. This doesn’t sound fishy because we know Xiaomi has no problem with designing borderless smartphones. But if the manufacturer wants to sell much, it should set a competitive price tag. I mean the market is full of borderless smartphones, and it has to stand out due to the best price. Honestly, we have no doubts on this case as well.
Second, the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 is rumored to come with a dual-camera with 12MP+5MP sensors on the back. The first module comes with a model number of Sony IMX362 with a unit pixel size of 1.4 microns. So the main camera should provide good shooting experience. Apart of this, there is also a 16MP front camera supplied by Samsung and carrying a model number of S5K3P8. It comes with a unit pixel size of 1.0?m, f/1.9 aperture, and Beauty support.
Third, the phone is said to come with a 5.46-inch 2K screen at a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. Like the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 it should be supplied by Pegasus as well.
As for the performance, we have heard too much about its processor and memory. Earlier it has been talked as the Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 will sport a Snapdragon 660 chip. Then it was said Oppo has exclusive rights on the first batch of supply. So as the Oppo R11 is out, we can wait for the Redmi Pro 2 to come as soon as in the next month. However, there is a chance this phone will be packed with a MediaTek P25. But it sounds less possible.
There should be two memory options -3GB and 4GB of RAM. Therefore, the pricing will vary from version to version. The 3GB variant is said to come at 1999 yuan ($294), while the 4GB should cost more. Although we have heard this device could cost the way cheaper at 1199 yuan ($174) or 1599 yuan ($232). Your thoughts?
