This shortcoming was fixed today, when one of web users published the photo of the forthcoming Redmi Note 4X. The spotted photo is identical with the one we have seen a few days ago published by TENNA. The leaked photos showcase this phone looks identical to its predecessor. Both models come with a matte metal housing. The back edges are rounded for better ergonomics. However, the fingerprint is located on the front instead of back. Front-mounted fingerprint scanners have become a mainstream, because it’s too inconvenient to use it for big-screen phones. Thus Xiaomi decided to follow the trend. At last, this model features a capacitive home button. This model is rumored to come with a Snapdragon 635 octa-core CPU clocked at 2.0GHz (28nm / 4×A53 at 1.95GHz + 4×A72 at 1.44GHz). It’s a great upgrade in comparison to the current version’s MediaTek Helio X20 deca-core processor clocked at 2.1GHz. It’s paired with an Adreno 510, 4GB and 32GB / 64GB of internal memory. This means the company has improved the RAM as well.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X will sport a 4000mAh battery with fast charge support, and the actual maximum power should be 15W.

Finally, it sports a 16MP rear camera and supports FDD B5/8. Thus it’s a 4G supporting device.

No one will surprise if the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X costs 999 / 1199 yuan ($144 / $173) for the 4GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB versions, respectively. It’s still unknown when the phone will appear in stores, but we have heard the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 production is closed, and the manufacturer has started the production of this model.
