The net is still buzzing about the newly announced Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X. Though it doesn’t differ much from its predecessor, the Redmi Note 4, customers like this phone more. I guess the main reason is hidden in the Hatsune Miku version coming in aquamarine color (or green). But as the latter will be produced in limited number, it’s better to focus on the main color options such as the silver one. Yesterday we have got acquainted with the first hands-on photos of the aquamarine and silver versions. Today we are going to talk about the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X design and the main lineaments.
Key features of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X
Before we review the look of this phone, let’s take a quick look at its key features to realize what a device we are dealing with. The Redmi Note 4X comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD screen, Snapdragon 625 processor, built-in 3GB RAM, 32GB internal memory, 13MP camera on the back, 5MP front camera, 4100mAh battery, and dual standby SIM card support. The regular variant is priced at 999 yuan ($145), while the Hatsune version comes at 1299 yuan ($189) and it will become available sometime in mid-March.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X looks identical to its sibling coming with the same metal housing. There are no capacitive buttons on the front panel – all three buttons are touchable. They are located below the screen that is welcomed by many customers.
The front camera, proximity sensor and speaker are located above the screen.
Generally, the front side hasn’t get any improvements in comparison to the older version. The only improvement is the narrower bezels around the display. But we know even the original Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will come with such a frame hereafter.
The back side comes with a curved design for better ergonomics.
It carries a rear camera paired with a dual-tone LED flash as well as a fingerprint scanner.
The bottom rear side comes only with a Mi logo.
The overall design is minimalist that is special for high-end models.
As for the interfaces and ports, the SIM card slot is on the left hand side.
The volume rocker paired with the power button are on the right side.
The 3.5mm audio jack and microphone holes are on the top.
Finally, the dual-speakers ‘separated’ with the miniHDMI ports are on the bottom side.
