Today Xiaomi officially announced the Mijia Vacuum Cup. The selling point of this product is the material it’s made of. As the company claims, the mug is made of imported medical grade 316L stainless steel. The vacuum cup is priced at 99 yuan ($15), and it will be available for purchase starting December 12
The Xiaomi Mijia Vacuum Cup has inherited a Mijia-line appearance. It comes in a minimalistic design with a pure white matte body. As said, it’s made of imported medical grade 316L stainless steel supporting 12 hours of insulation cold. Apart from this, the 316L stainless steel has superior performance in terms of corrosion resistance. The rest of required features are supported as well including a high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance, hardness and so on. Thus it comes with all the features seen on medical appliances, kitchen utensils, cutlery and teapot made by senior manufacturers.
Its inner wall adopts the mirror electrolysis technique commonly used by Japanese brand thermos. Thanks to it the cup wall looks completely smooth as a mirror with no pits. The thermal insulation gap between the inner and outer walls is only 1mm. So it has a larger capacity in comparison to other vacuum caps with the same size.
As for the manufacturing specifications, the zirconia vanadium iron is placed in the vacuum insulation layer. As a result, the residual air inside the metal material is effectively eliminated, while the heat insulation effect of the vacuum insulation layer of the heat preservation inner liner is drastically enhanced. The holder of the Xiaomi Mijia Vacuum Cup adopts the thin bottom laser welding process. It is 10mm thinner than an ordinary cup. That’s why the thermal insulation performance is enhanced by 2 times. The insulation liner uses a 3-axis high-speed spin thinning process. That’s why the Mijia Vacuum Cup comes with an increased actual capacity as well as improved insulation performance.
