Xiaomi Mi6 May Feature Under-Clocked Snapdragon 835

We have got quite a lot of leaks and rumors about the next flagship device from Xiaomi, the Xiaomi Mi6. It will be the successor of last year’s Mi5, and we already have got some images being leaked previously. Today, we will be talking about the processor that this phone might pack. From the beginning of rumors, we heard about Snapdragon 835 on Mi6, but as soon as we got the news about Samsung acquiring all the first batches of the new chipset, some rumors also revealed that we would see the Snapdragon 821 instead. But today, we got information the company will use the latest Snapdragon 835 chipset but it there is a catch! It will be an under-clocked processor and not with the same clocking speed as the one we are going to see on Galaxy S8.

As mentioned above, since Samsung has now got the first batch of Snapdragon 835 chips, LG has no choice rather than using the last year’s Snapdragon 821 in its G6. But, seems like our beloved company, Xiaomi isn’t going to bow down to Samsung and will, therefore use the under-clocked CPU on Xiaomi Mi6. If you don’t know, the last year’s Mi5 too, had the underclocked version of Snapdragon 820, but this surely didn’t’ affect the sales in any way. It is still an excellent choice for a good looking smartphone with superb features. We hope that a great Xiaomi phone is on its way that will compete with upcoming flagships like Galaxy S8 and LG G6.
