Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Renamed To Xiaomi Mi Pro?

It’s expected the new flagship of Xiaomi will arrive in a few days, on September 14. The forthcoming handset is dubbed as the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and promised to be a great device with decent features. But are you sure it will be called so? I think the name of the upcoming Xiaomi flagship is shady, as the manufacturer has just created an account for the Mi Pro instead of the Mi Note 2.

As for the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, we know almost everything, if all the leaks turn into reality. I mean we hope to see a dual camera, fingerprint identification scanner, 5.7-inch 1920×1080 IPS LCD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 octa-core processor (Cortex A53), 4/6GB RAM or 64/128GB memories, 3600mAh battery with quick charge, MIUI 8.6.8.26 software and Android 7.0. As you see this handset is going to be a worthy successor of the original model, the Xiaomi Mi Note on the phone. Most likely, it will lack 3D Touch, by the way.

Unfortunately, we have no info about a smartphone carrying a name of the Xiaomi Mi Pro. This makes us think the company will come in with the same features we have talked about above but with different name. As I said the main reason we think so is related with a Weibo account created by Lei Jun, Xiaomi CEO yesterday.

The only thing we can do at this moment is to wait for an official statement. On the other hand, if there is a Mi Note 2 handset ready to be announced in coming days, why the company has decided to create another account.

P.S. Xiaomi has made us surprised in recent months like the case related with the Xiaomi smartwatch that we didn’t see. So I think the company has adopted a strategy of ‘changing the things at the last moment’.
