Xiaomi is one of the biggest smartphone manufacturer’s out there and the company manages to gain increasingly more market share by providing consumers with powerful and affordable smartphones. Xiaomi is reportedly working on an upcoming smartphone, the Mi Note 2 and images have just leaked online.
The images showed up at Gizmochina and reveal that the device will come with an OLED dual curved display, much like the screen we saw on the Galaxy Note 7 recently. The pictures are a bit blurry, which means that it’s not for sure that the smartphone is actually the Mi Note 2 or another similar device with MIUI theme installed.
The device could come with a 5.5-inch display and it might be made available in two variants, one with 1080p resolution and the other with 2k display resolution.
The device could come with 6GB of RAM and SD821
Aside from all of these specs, the device is said to come with an all metal body and dual cameras at the back. Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 could power the smartphone and RAM capacity could actually reach 6GB with 128GB of internal memory.
This is specifically why Samsung may have wanted to release a Galaxy Note 7 variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage in China, as local manufacturers thrive in the country by offering affordable devices with the latest specs. But Samsung decided against the 6GB of RAM variant and so far, its sales in China won’t be affected considering that over 1 million registrations were reported in just two hours after pre-orders went live.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 was rumored to be announced in August, but the month is almost over and it doesn’t seem like the smartphone will be arriving soon. It’s possible that Xiaomi might unveil it in the next month or later this year. There’s no information at this point regarding the release date, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
