Though the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 launch date is set to be September 12, this date can be pushed back. This is not a reason to get upset because according to the latest news, the new-gen Mi MIX will hit the market within two months. Moreover, it has appeared on TENNA and got 3C certification codenamed as Chiron. So we know too much at this moment. Let’s understand which features have been confirmed officially or non-officially and which of them still remain a mystery.
First, we know the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 will comes with a bezel-less screen. But it turns out the manufacturer has reduced the size. Reportedly, it will come with a 6-inch display, unlike its predecessor that sports a 6.4-inch screen. The Japanese JDI is going to be the display supplier for this handset that means the cooperation between these two companies deepens.
The phone frame has been said to be stainless steel. But it’s too heavy. And if these rumors are true, it will be replaced with an aluminum frame in the final version.
As for the processor, there are two versions – either it will be a Snapdragon 660 or 835. Last year, when the original Mi MIX was released it came with the best chip at the moment, Snapdragon 821. So, many think this tradition should be continued. But we know Qualcomm has real production capacity problems related with the SND835. So, the Snapdragon 660 can replace it.
As you see, we don’t know much about the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. Simply this means its launch date is not as close as we’d like it to be. But one thing we know for sure – the final look of this awesome smartphone has been confirmed, and it looks like the Samsung Galaxy S8. The biggest difference in comparison to the Samsung phone, it is a tri-bezel-less handset. However, you can take a peek at the photo below, and understand what changes the Mi MIX 2 will come with in comparison to its predecessor and the closest rival.
