Today, as you all know, was the day of the official launch of Xiaomi Mi Max 2. It is a successor of last year’s Mi Max which was a huge 6.44-inch phablet with superb features in a budget price. This year, Xiaomi has launched the successor of Mi Max with some superb features and improved design. The Mi Max 2 has been officially launched today so, here in this particular article, we will be talking about the design, specifications and the price of this all new Phablet from Xiaomi.
XIAOMI MI MAX 2 – THE DESIGN & SPECIFICATIONS
Starting off with the design, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is not so different than the Mi Max of 2016 as it has almost the same design from the back. There is single camera sensor on the rear with dual LED flash and below that is the fingerprint scanner. The Antenna lines have got the same design as on the iPhone 7. There is a unibody metal design. The power button and volume rockers are on the right with the SIM card tray on the left.
Coming to the specs, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a 6.44-inch 1080p IPS FHD display with 342ppi pixel density and is powered by the Snapdragon 625 chipset which is well known for its superb performance and battery optimization. There is 4GB of RAM and 64/128GB internal storage with an option to expand the storage up to 256GB via external SD card. On the rear, the phone packs a 12MP Sony Sony Exmor RS IMX386 sensor with dual tone LED flash, and there is 5MP front-facing camera. The rear camera is capable of capturing 4K videos whereas the resolution is limited to 1080p only on the front-facing camera.Mi Max 2 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box with MiUI 8.
Now, coming to the most interesting feature of the phone, the battery! It packs a humongous 5,300 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology and reverse charging feature. Other features include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth, Dual SIM, USB Type-C Port, Split screen multitasking, reverse charging, dual stereo speakers. Yes, you read right, the phone also has dual stereo speakers which are a great addition for music lovers.
