Last summer Xiaomi released one of the best phones for the mid-range market. The Xiaomi Mi 5X was packed with a number of great features. So not accidentally, it was considered to be the cruelest rival of any mid-ranger. Moreover, this was the main reason why the manufacturer chose it as a participant of Google’s Android One program. In its turn, the Xiaomi Mi A1 has become very popular outside China helping the company in gaining popularity in European countries. Seems everything is better than planned. And if so, we are going to see the successor of this amazing handset in face of the Xiaomi Mi 6X. A leaked photo shows how the back panel of this phone will look.
A month back, we have seen the Xiaomi Mi 6X’s protective case. But it provided too less information about the upcoming model. Yesterday, /leaks published a photo showing the same case, but that render also revealed the main design elements of this phone. Today the same source came in with another spotted photo showcasing the actual look of the phone. And though not that much can be seen, we can make some assumptions.
First, this photo shows the company will be using the Xiaomi Mi 5X’s design with rounded corners and injection antenna design. Apart from this, it will use a metal housing. What’s more interesting, the Mi 6X comes with a dual-camera with an identical layout as the iPhone X. thus the flashlight is placed in the middle of sensors that are in their turn placed vertically. The only thing causing some questions is the small hole in the upper center area. There should be a fingerprint scanner (as we assume the Xiaomi Mi 6X will use a full-screen design). But there is no fingerprint reader.
Actually, the Xiaomi Mi 5X was packed with a number of great specs including a 5.5-inch Full HD screen, Snapdragon 625 chip, 3080mAh battery, Mi 6-like (also iPhone 7 Plus-like) dual-camera, 4Gb of RAM, and 32/64GB of internal storage. Plus, it was priced at 1299/1499 yuan ($201/232). As for the Xiaomi Mi 6X, it’s said the phone will debut in the first quarter of 2018. It should sport a Snapdragon 630 chip using a 14nm process node and based on an octa-core Kryo 260 CPU architecture (Adreno 509 GPU).
