The Xiaomi Mi 5S and Mi 5S Plus were released a few months back, and though they were packed with a list of outstanding features most of Mi fans were disappointed. This caused to wait for better model and it came in face of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and Mi MIX. But as you can guess, both products are from another galaxy, and the actual face of Xiaomi smartphones expressed via original Mi models. That’s why we are eagerly waiting for the next gen Xiaomi Mi smartphones. It’s been rumored the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 CPU, which is going to launch in January 2017 and it’s going to replace the current top-notch chipset of this company, the Snapdragon 821. It’s also been thought new smartphones packed with this SoC will hit the market in February. Alas, this info has been denied just now.
The Snapdragon 835 CPU is said to come with the newest 10nm technology. The same technology is going to appear on the MediaTek X30 as well. Thus all the upcoming chips designed for high-end smartphones will support this technology. As you see, 10nm is going to become popular, and this made the chip makers to revise their plans. This also affected the launch date of the Xiaomi Mi 6 and Samsung Galaxy S8. What’s interesting the release date of the Xiaomi Mi 6 was pushed back to April from February. It’s explained as the chips are out of stock due to high demand.
However, we think the Xiaomi Mi 6 can launch in March, because Xiaomi always is a step forward and its sells numbers differs from Samsung sells numbers. On the other hand, the Xiaomi Mi 6 should compete with the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6, and I guess the other manufacturers will try to bypass their competitors.
