The Xiaomi Mi 5S has been out recently, and though it’s the current flagship of the Chinese Apple, many people were disappointed of its features. Obviously, the Mi 5S sports a list of astonishing specs, but what we had heard was better. That’s why Mi fans think the manufacturer will come in with another handset before the end of the year to close the gaps left by the Mi 5S. That phone is supposed to be the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, which will hit the market on October 25. It’s said the latter will come with a curved edge screen made by LG. This sounds quite well, but what if the company decides not only to launch a new device to save the situation, but to boost the current models. Seems Xiaomi will act so, as the Xiaomi Mi 5S has been spotted in spy photos showing 6GB under the hood.

As you remember, the Xiaomi Mi 5S is packed with a 3GB RAM + 64GB ROM and 4GB RAM + 128GB ROM, Snapdragon 821 CPU, 5.15-inch Full HD display with 2.5D glass, 12MP camera that is capable of taking astonishing photos, 3200mAh battery, Android 6.0 and MIUI 8. The phone is priced at 1999 yuan ($259) and 2299 yuan ($345) for the 3GB RAM + 64GB ROM and 4GB RAM + 128GB ROM models, respectively.

But it turns out 3GB or 4GB RAM is not sufficient. On the other hand, may be the company wants to bring more memory to its flagship to boost the sales – agree 6GB sounds better than 4GB RAM. Many geeks think 6GB RAM on a smartphone is senseless, but we have seen many high-end handset with such a feature onboard. So why Xiaomi can’t afford itself to come with such a ploy.

Unfortunately, the leaked photos don’t reveal how much the 6GB Xiaomi Mi 5S will cost, but we think it will be around 2699 yuan.
