Though we are eagerly waiting for the Xiaomi Mi 6, it turns out a weaker variant will be unleashed sooner. I am talking about the Xiaomi Mi 5C aka Meri. I guess you think we know everything about this phone, and the only thing that is still unknown is the release date. Unfortunately, I have no info when it will be released, but rely upon it you know too little about it. Today a new photo spotted showing the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 5C will have no physical Home button.
Xiaomi is called Chinese Apple often. This title has been earned thanks to innovative technologies and unique approach to manufacturing. I mean all Xiaomi products come at least with one innovative idea, look stunning and you always can rely on them. But I know there are many people thinking Xiaomi is called in this way because of iPhone-like handsets. You are mistaken – none of Xiaomi smartphones look identical to Apple products. The only one that could come with such a design is the Xiaomi Mi 5C.
However, Apple has decided to take a step forward and not to put pushable Home button anymore. Probably, this idea stimulated Xiaomi. As a result, the latter has removed the home button from its Mi 5C device as well.

Well, the Xiaomi Mi 5C has been expected to launch in early March. It is rumored to sport Xiaomi’s own-made Pinecone V670 processor. The latter is based on 28nm process technology using 4 × A53 large core + 4 × A53 small core composition. It is also paired with a MaliT860 MP4 GPU clocked at 800HMz. Other than that. The Mi 5C is said to feature a 5.5-inch ultra-narrow frame screen, built-in 3GB RAM + 64GB ROM, 12MP camera with OV12870 sensor, 8MP front camera, 4500mAh lareg capacity battery, and MIUI8.
We still hope the Xiaomi Mi 5C will be the first smartphone to sport ultrasonic fingerprint identification. This feature should come with the original Xiaomi Mi 5S, but it didn’t happen. So we think if it should be tested, the Mi 5C is a great option for it. But if everything is ready, it should appear at more demanded handset, the Xioami Mi 6.
Regardless the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and the launch date, we are dealing with an amazing smartphone. If this photo has anything common with the reality, then Xiaomi takes its Mi line handsets to a new level. At last, the phone is rumored to be priced either 999 yuan ($145) or 1499 yuan ($218).
