Xiaomi has finally unveiled its anticipated headphone and it is dubbed Mi Dual-unit half-Ear Headphones. The gadget is a cheaply priced piece of accessory despite having a decent hardware configuration. The device isn’t a Bluetooth headset as we had anticipated but it is a wired headset clutching a 69 Yuan (~$10).
The Mi Dual-unit half-Ear Headphones come with a simplistic design and sports a ceramic body adorning a glossy finish. As a result of its size and the material from which it is manufactured, the earphone is light and comfortable to use. The device also comes with an half-ear structure which keeps the shell outside the ear canal in a bid to protect the delicate ear canal. The design fits most ear types.
The Mi Dual-unit half-Ear Headphones also pack a fitting hardware which ensures the sound output is spot-on. The dual earpieces both feature a dual-unit dynamic coil and ceramic horn acoustic structure which churns out a clear sound with no noise. Xiaomi says the earphones passed the Hi-REs Audio certification of the Japan Audio Association and produces a high-quality listening experience far beyond the limits of CD sound quality. It has a MEMS microphone integrated with a three-button control as well as a 3.5mm jack. The wire is manufactured using soft TPE material and it won’t twist or get entangled easily.
The earphone comes in Black and White colours and both colour variants are already available for purchase on Mi Home. The device isn’t available outside China but it won’t take long before you can find it on GearBest.
