Following months of rumours and leaks, Xiaomi has finally unveiled it much anticipated budget Redmi 4 lineup. The lineup consists out of three new smartphones, including the Redmi 4, Redmi 4A and Redmi 4 Prime, and all three smartphones target different groups of users.
The Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Prime are very similar. Both have unibody metal design with a 5-inch 2.5D curved glass display, but the difference is in the chipset and memory configuration. The standard model has an octa-core Snapdragon 430, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and 720p resolution, while the Prime model packs Snapdragon 625, 3 GB/32 GB of memory and 1080p resolution.
The Redmi 4A is the cheapest amongst all. It has the same specs as the Redmi 4, but a much smaller 3,030 mAh battery and no fingerprint scanner. All three have a 13 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front, hybrid dual SIM, infrared sensor, and 4G VoLTE support.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4A is priced at 499 Yuan ($70), Redmi 4 costs 699 Yuan ($100) and the Prime model will set you back 899 Yuan ($130).
