Xiaomi has joined the list of companies that decide to make fun of the devices launched by Apple, focusing on the latest iPhone models that were announced last Wednesday. The company dubbed “the apple of China” mocked Apple in a subtle way, as it mimicked the iterations of the new iPhone models by naming three new product packages in a very special way.
The new product packages launched by Xiaomi were called XR, XS and XS Max, and were launched with a price exactly equal to the initial price of the three new iPhone models in China.
Would Xiaomi be making fun of Apple?
Apple launched the price of its three new models in China yesterday, and they are not cheap. Apple products are extremely popular in this Asian country, and are priced too high for many Chinese. Even knowing that, the price of the products of this company continues to increase steadily, but to improve things a bit, perhaps Xiaomi is trying to avoid alarming cases of people selling valuable items to get an iPhone. As you can see, it is doing that by giving us some cool and attractive gadgets that can be obtained at the price of just an iPhone.
As surreal as this sounds, it is not true. The Chinese company has never said something about that, but this may be just a marketing strategy to face the competition. IPhone sales plummeted in China in recent times as a result of the increase in rival brands such as Xiaomi, OPPO, Vivo and others, so it makes a lot of sense.
The new X devices that this great company presents to us
The XR product package, as you can guess, mimics the iPhone XR, which is curiously the base model, but in China has a sales price of 6499 yuan (which at the current exchange would be about $947). For that large amount of money, Xiaomi offers its buyers a Xiaomi Mi 8 SE in gray (with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage), a Mi Band 3, a Mi Notebook Air 12.5 inches in silver color (with 4GB of RAM and 256G of internal storage) and a Mini Bluetooth Headset in black.
Following with the devices, the price of Apple’s high-end iPhone XS has a sales price of 8699 yuan (which would be about $1268) in China, and Xiaomi reflects it with the XS package, where the company offers its users its great flagship Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S in black color (with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage), a Mi Band 3, a Mi Notebook Air 13.3 inches in silver color and a Mi Bluetooth Mini Headset in black.
Finally, the third device presented by Apple was the iPhone XS Max, which has a giant screen and a sales price of 9599 yuan (which would be about $1398). For that amount of money, the great Xiaomi says that you can get the XS Max package, which includes the powerful Xiaomi Mi 8 with (6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage), a Mi Notebook Pro, a Mi Bluetooth Necklace Headset and a Mi Band 3.
Unfortunately, these great promotions are only sold in China because all the products found in the packages would cost more than what is offered on the Xiaomi website. However, it would be interesting to see how these packages are offered in places like India, Spain and other regions where this company has a physical presence.
