Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi , is a company known for the production of topnotch devices at an affordable price. Chinese media (Cai Xin) reports that Xiaomi held a listing launch today which ended successfully with the Chinese manufacturing giant choosing to be listed in Hong Kong. Xiaomi known for setting and breaking records has been battling to set another record by becoming the first manufacturing giant to visit H-shares after the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (HKEx) new policy.

As at last year, we were meant to believe that Xiaomi had a valuation of about $50 billion, but some sources affirmed that the manufacturing company would be listed in the second half of 2018 with a valuation of about $100 billion. Some people familiar with the matter argue this valuation, as they believe that the company may move as high as $200 billion U.S. dollars. Affiliates of the company maintain that Xiaomi has never submitted a valuation of $200 billion to the investment bank or anyone else.
The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (HKEx) been Asia’s third-largest stock exchange in terms of market capitalization and the sixth largest in the world is unquestionably an enormous opportunity for Xiaomi. The free-float-adjusted market capitalization-weighted stock market index in Hong Kong[the Hang Seng Index] rose to about 36% in 2017 and has a global recognition. As of January 11, 2018, The Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index ended trading at a record high, after it increased for 14 consecutive days in the longest-ever winning streak that reflects sustained investor optimism even after a bumper 2017. After the painful loss of the online sales giant, Alibaba, HKEx transformed its operation. In December 2017, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index declared the implementation of “shares with different rights” to ensures that mainland companies are listed in Hong Kong. The Chinese manufacturing giant Xiaomi present structure is undoubtedly very suitable.
