Fast growing Chinese consumer tech giant Xiaomi has unveiled its very first sports Bluetooth headset, aptly named the Mi Sports Bluetooth Headset. As you would expect from a sports Bluetooth headset, the Mi Sports Bluetooth Headset is water resistant (with an IPX4 rating) as well as sweatproof. The headset is very light weight too, weighing in at just 17.8 grams. It is claimed to function in a wide range of temperatures, from -20°C to 70°C.
The Mi Sports Bluetooth Headset connects to devices using Bluetooth 4.1 and can be paired with 2 devices at the same time. Xiaomi claims a battery life of up to 7 hours, thanks to a 110mAh capacity battery inside.
To boost comfort when wearing the headset during workouts, the ear hook is made out of a soft flexible material, which ensures a tight fit and helps minimize pain when wearing the headset for prolonged periods.
Available in Black and White color options, the Xiaomi Mi Sports Bluetooth Headset has been priced at 149 Yuan (S$30.5) in China. It will be going on sale in country starting next week, November 11 to be precise.
