Xbox One’s backward compatibility program has brought lots of great Xbox 360 to Microsoft’s current gen console, but there are plenty of other titles from the original Xbox that will never see the light of day on current consoles without a re-release or remaster. But that could all change very soon, as when asked by a fan on twitter whether original Xbox games will ever make it into the backward compatibility program, Xbox boss Phil Spencer replied that though the team is currently working on such compatibility, they haven’t ruled it out either, while also stating that he would like to find the time to do such a thing.

Microsoft’s Xbox One backward compatibility program has been a hit lately, giving gamers the opportunity to enjoy their favorite Xbox 360 titles on their current gen console, almost adding in a group of newly compatible games every week or so. In addition these games can take advantage of current Xbox One features, such as Game DVR, Screenshots, and in-home streaming to Windows 10. Gamers can also play multiplayer with their friends no matter which console they’re on. With fan favorites like ‘Red Dead Redemption’, ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops’, and ‘Halo Wars’, expanding the program to include the original Xbox may yield titles such as the original ‘Halo’, ‘Fable’, and ‘Morrowind’.

So what do our readers think, would you like to see the Xbox One backward compatibility program expanded to include the original Xbox One, and if so, which titles would you like to see included in the program. Let us know below!
