Networking device supplier Wistron NeWeb is expected to post revenues of NT$13.5-14 billion (US$43.02-44.61 million) in the third quarter of 2016 with an EPS of NT$1.40-1.60, buoyed by orders from the IoV (Internet of Vehicles) and smart meter sectors, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report.
Wistron NeWeb’s has landed orders for its newly developed 24GHz automotive radar sensors from Japan-based first-tier clients, which will help the company ramp up its revenues. Sales of car-use devices will account for 27% of Wistron NeWeb’s total sales in 2016 and further expand to 31% in 2017, said the paper.
Wistron NeWeb’s sales will remain strong in September, said the paper. The company posted revenues of NT$4.67 billion in August, up 0.56% on month and 5.91% on year. Accumulated 2016 revenues through August totaled NT$35.15 billion, increasing 6.67% on year.
