Microsoft has released a new cumulative update for insiders enrolled in the Release Preview and Slow rings, ahead of a public launch that’s expected to take place in the coming weeks.
The new cumulative update is called KB3197954 and is available exclusively on PCs running Windows 10 preview builds as part of one of the two rings. At first glance, it doesn’t bring anything too exciting, and since there’s no changelog available, it’s safe to assume that it’s mostly supposed to fix bugs and improve performance here and there.
Windows 10 Mobile devices are also getting this cumulative update, but just like it’s the case on PCs, no information is available on what it brings new. But as it usually happens with cumulative updates, it likely brings only small improvements and fixes too, so there’s nothing to be super excited about.
KB3197954 pushes Windows 10 version to 14393.351 on both PCs and mobile devices, and this is probably the only notable change that it brings.
As for the date when all users are expected to get this cumulative update, nothing is known for the moment, but given the fact that Microsoft has already started the testing process, it shouldn’t take too long before this happens. Next Patch Tuesday is very far, so hopefully it arrives before the November patching cycle due on the 8th of the month.
