Microsoft is expected to launch a new Windows 10 build this week for PC and mobile, and it turns out that 14936 is one candidate that’s likely to get the go-ahead either today or tomorrow.
Just as usual, there is no confirmation from Microsoft on this, but there’s more evidence online that Windows 10 build 14936 is at least being considered for the Insider release for both mobile devices and PCs. Last week, Microsoft skipped the mobile release, so this new version is very likely to be aimed at both platforms.
Without a doubt, this new version will be specifically aimed at fast ring insiders and will be mostly focused on fixing bugs and improving performance, especially because it’s only a small version bump over 14931 which was launched last week.
Dona Sarkar, the head of the Windows Insider program, also hinted that a new build release is just around the corner, explaining that she is “full on build hustling in Redmond this week,” so a new version could ship to insiders anytime soon.
For the moment, however, do not expect any big changes, as the Windows team is still focused on paving the way for substantial upgrades in Redstone 2, so small improvements here and there are more likely. Keep in mind that the release could be delayed at any given time if any major bugs are found, so don’t take anything for granted.
Thanks for the tip, @NecrosoftCore!
