Consumers were accidentally allowed to preorder the SNES Classic from Walmart last week. In response, the retailer has confirmed all of those orders will be cancelled. A “technical glitch” caused the order page to go live before it was supposed to.
Walmart didn’t charge people for the preorders in most cases, though individuals who used PayPal or a gift card are receiving refunds.
It’s unknown how many people ordered the Nintendo mini console while it was available.
