Just yesterday we told you that there were indications that Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is working on a bendable screen. Still images showed a display featuring Xiaomi’s UI bent at an angle. As we pointed out, the photos seemed to show only a display without the inner workings of the phone which made us question the legitimacy of the images.
Today, a video has been posted on YouTube that shows the bendable screen in action. Watching the video, you can see the screen scrolling smoothly, navigating the bend without a problem. The question is, when will Xiaomi be able to bring this to market at a decent price point? The company is known for its value-based pricing.
Xiaomi isn’t the only Chinese based smartphone manufacturer working on a bendable phone. During Lenovo Tech World back in June, YouTube star Meghan McCarthy demonstrated a handset that could be turned into a bracelet to be worn on the wrist.
