Embedded system and device provider VIA Technologies has reported a net profit of NT$35 million (US$1.109 million) for the third quarter of 2016, down 43.5% from the previous quarter. EPS for the quarter stood at NT$0.07.
However, the company still posted a loss of NT$307 million on its core business in the third quarter. The losses were offset by investment income, the company said.
For the first three quarters of 2016, net profits totaled NT$171.8 million or NT$0.35 per share.
September revenues came to NT$1.11 billion and accumulated 2106 revenues through September totaled NT$3.52 billion.
