Some smartphones have already received Android Nougat update, but first Samsung handset to get it will be Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Its Galaxy Beta Program was running in several countries, where users can test it and improve it before the update goes public.
The exact release date of Nougat update for Galaxy S7 lineup is unknown, but Verizon has now confirmed they won’t release it until an early year. The carrier has also decided to halt the Galaxy Beta Program for an unknown reason. If you already downloaded the beta, consider yourself lucky. As for other users, wait for the official release.
