Valve has come out with a 360-degree video viewer for the Steam VR platform. The app, called Steam 360 Video Player, is currently in beta and it’ll arrive on desktop soon. With a single click, you’ll be able to playback content on your Rift or Vive.

Adaptive streaming tech from Pixvana is used by the system.

You can already access some content, such as Alien: Covenant In Utero.

As for technical requirements, you need Windows 10 64 bit and at least a GeForce GTX 970 or Radeon R9 290. At least a GTX 1070 is required for 4K playback.
