Unisoc has rolled out its new Bluetooth 5.0-certified resolution, dubbed RDA5882, to help dual-mode BLE module designs for true wi-fi stereo (TWS) headsets.
Previously know as Unigroup Spreadtrum & RDA, Unisoc underneath China’s Tsinghua Unigroup expects its new RDA5882 resolution to characteristic in clients’ upcoming TWS gadgets with shipments of the chip already kicking off.
Fellow firm Airoha Technology, a subsidiary of MediaTek specializing in wi-fi communication chips, can also be anticipated to kick off quantity manufacturing for its new-generation single-chip resolution for TWS headsets by the top of 2019, in line with firm sources. Airoha has seen its chip shipments for TWS system functions – primarily earbuds – ramp up at a gradual tempo.
