Earlier when Ulefone wasn’t as popular as nowadays, it launched a monster-size battery phone named the Power. It was announced back in December 2015. But we could take our hands on it only a month later. It was a great phone with many attractive features. But some of those specs didn’t allow us to put it into the high-end category. However, this phone became very popular. So the manufacturer came in with its successor dubbed as the Ulefone Power 2. Last year the third-gen Power was released with a quad-camera design. It was the best creation of Ulefone. But the company decided to release the enhanced variant of this model named the Ulefone Power 3S. Though it’s been announced just recently, you can also get your hands on it for a discounted price of $169.99.
Since the first-gen Power, the selling point of this handset has been the large capacity battery. The Ulefone Power 3S sports a 6350mAh battery. Thus this is the most powerful smartphone from this line in comparison to its siblings. The larger a battery is the longer it stays alive. But it also requires a longer time to charge. However, the Power 3S is capable of charging fully in two hours only via 5V/3A low-voltage charger and Fast Charge 4.0. And it will provide up to 4 days of normal use and 75 days of standby mode.
The Ulefone Power 3S can compete with any large-battery phone including the Xiaomi Mi Max 2. Moreover, it is packed with better hardware when it comes to some certain features. Say, the Power 3S is equipped with a 16+5MP rear camera and a 13+5MP front camera. We understand the second sensors are put to provide the bokeh effect, but the truth is there are many useful features to take great photos. Say, the front camera is accompanied by a softlight to take good selfies in dark conditions. And there is a Beauty mode as well. As for the back camera, it comes with a 5P lens, dual-flash, and PDAF quick focus.
The next selling point of the Ulefone Power 3S is the performance. When someone wants to say this handset is not capable of providing a stable performance, he/she mentions it is packed with a MediaTek MT6763 chip. Agree, when you see a SoC name in this way, you may think it’s a regular chipset made for cheap handsets. But the truth is we are dealing with the Helio P23, which is an octa-core chip. It’s the world’s first dual-SIM, dual-4G VoLTE SoC. The processor is paired with a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
Interestingly, the Ulefone Power 3S sports the trendiest feature of a 6-inch full-screen with a Full HD resolution, 90.8% of screen-to-body ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Thanks to the chip and powerful front camera, the handset comes with Face ID. But as you can see from the photos, there is a fingerprint scanner on the back as well. So you decide how to protect your data stores on your phone. At last, the Power 3S is equipped with an independent HiFi chip for the best music listening performance, and there is a USB Type-C for faster data transfer.
