Uber has failed to sufficiently accommodate people with disabilities, claims a new lawsuit filed in the US. A couple of users confined to wheelchairs are suing the company, accusing it of violating Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The suit says “persons with disabilities in Jackson (Mississippi) have no ability to call a wheelchair accessible vehicle or a specially trained driver through the Uber app.”
Uber does offer additional support for disabled users in some regions through UberAssist. But that service is limited to just a few markets.
